Two immobilized Daphnia (Le. 10%) were observed in the control, whereas no immobilization was observed in the graup exposed to the test compound.

The EC50/48 hours of ZK 47568 to Daphnia magna is'higher than a saturated solution (1 mg/L). - Executive summary:
The purpose of this study was to determine the acute toxicity (immobilization, EC50/48 hours) of ZK 47568 to Daphnia magna in a limit-test. The study was conducted in agreement with the test guideline of the OECD, no. 202, "Daphnia spec., acute immobilization test".
Twenty Daphnia were used for the test solution of Ethyltetraenon and twenty for the control group. The Daphnia were exposed to the test substance and the dilution water (tap water) for aperiod of 48 hours under static conditions in a limit-test. Imrmobilization was recorded at 24 hours and 48 hours. For the preparation of the test solution 100 mg/L of the test substance were suspended and stirred for 24 hours. Then it was filtered through a glassfibrefilter (poresize 0.45 um). The saturated solution obtained by this procedure was used for the test. Sam pies for a TOC analysis were taken at 0 and 48 hours. The TOC analysis gave a concentration of Ethyltetraenon of 1 mg/L based on a calculation using the molecular formula.
