First-aid measures

General advice: Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

Inhalation:  Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Skin contact:  Wash off immediately with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Symptoms :   irritant effects, sensitising effects

Hazards :   Causes serious eye irritation., May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Rinse with plenty of water, Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media :   Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical, Water mist, Foam

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture : Thermal decomposition products: Toxic fumes, Corrosive fumes.

Advice for firefighters:

In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Protective clothing.

Do not breathe vapour.

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:  Use personal protective equipment.  

Environmental precautions:  Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses. Should not be released into the environment.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Soak up with oil absorbent material. Transfer into suitable containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:  Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
