Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

OECD Guideline 112_Dissociation coefficient (pKa value): 1.79 ± 0.1 (first ionisation constant); 7.01 ± 0.1 (second ionisation constant) at 25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The dissociation coefficient (pKa value) of the test compound was determined experimentally in compliance with OECD Guideline 112. The determination was carried out using a Potentiometric Titration Method. Prior to testing, the potentiometer was standardised using pH 4, 7 and 10 buffers of known certified pH at 20°C. The dissociation coefficient (pKa value) of the test compound has been determined to be 1.79 ± 0.1 (first ionisation constant) and 7.01 ± 0.1 (second ionisation constant) at 25 ± 1.0°C.
