Additional information

The registered substance (dried) is a translucent thick white gel and the corresponding commercial product (aqueous solution) is a slightly yellow limpid liquid at 20°C under atmospheric pressure.

The properties related to classification were tested on the substance as marketed (aqueous solution) when the other properties have been tested on the dried form.

Some properties were derived from the analogue chloride salt (see read-across justification available in corresponding physico-chemistry sections).

The substance has a low volatility, it is very soluble in water, much more dense than water, with no surface-active properties anticipated, and with a low LogPow <0.

It is not classified as dangerous with regard to physical hazards. However, a reaction producing pressure rise was observed, but not meeting CLP classification criteria.
