Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII and IX, adsorption/desorption studies (required in section 9.3.1 and 9.3.3) do not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable and has a low log Kow (log Kow = 1.9). Nevertheless, in order to calculate PNEC soil and sediment calculation is adequate for assessment as indicated in the TGD R7A

The log Koc has been calculated using the alcohol equation pubished by Sabjlic and Güsten (1995). This equation was taken from the EU Technical Guidance document on Risk Assessment Part III, Chapter 4 (2003) for calculating log Koc and is recommended for compounds with low logKow and high water solubility. There are limitation is design and reporting, but the calculated value is considered suitable as a supporting study.
