Description of key information

The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of test substance was determined to be < 1 (log Pow < 0).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
-1
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

This high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was not yet been evaluated by the OECD at that time, but was already recommended as an alternative method for the flask shaking method (see OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, Guideline no 107, "Partition coefficient (n-octanol/water)", (May 12, 1987).

In conclusion the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of test substance was determined to be < 1 (log Pow < 0).
