Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Skin contact : In case of contact, immediately wash skin with soap and copious
amounts of water.
Eyes contact : In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with copious amounts
of water for at least 15 minutes.
Ingestion : If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call immediately for
medical help.
Inhalation : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Keep patient warm.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media : Water spray or extinguishing powder or carbon dioxide.
Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Fire Hazards : As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus
in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire,
irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
In case of fire, following products of combustion or resulting gases can be released :
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide ; nitrogen oxides ; hydrogen chloride.

Accidental release measures

General measures : Wear protective equipment . Keep unprotected persons
away. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Individual protection : Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots,
and heavy rubber gloves.
Measures for protection of the environment : Do not allow material to be released to the
environment without proper governmental permits.
Cleaning methods : Dispose contaminated material as waste.

Handling and storage

Handling : Keep container tightly sealed. Keep ignition sources away.
Storage : Store in cool, dry place in tightly closed containers.
Ensure good ventilation at the workplace. Store away from oxidizing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure limits :
N/A
Individual protection :
· Respiratory system : Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a
NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or
other symptoms are experienced.
· Skin protection : Wear appropriate protective and impervious gloves to prevent skin exposure.
· Eyes protection : Wear chemical splash goggles.
· Clothing : Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Industrial Hygiene :
Use process enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control airborne levels.
Properly operating chemical fume hood designed for hazardous chemicals and having an average face velocity
of at least 100 feet per minute. Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Remove all soiled and contaminated clothign immediately. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability : Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.
Conditions to avoid : Decomposition will not occur if used and stored according to specifications.
Materials to avoid : Oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products : Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide ; nitrogen oxides ; hydrogen chloride.
Hazardous polymerisation : N/A.

Disposal considerations

Product disposal : Dispose of in a manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations.
Packing disposal : Dispose of in a manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations.
