Additional information

Unoxol™ 3,4 -dialdehyde is soluble in water, it has a low octanol-water partition coefficient (log Kow of 0.9, measured) and a low adsorption coefficient (Log Koc of 1.02 to 1.22, measured). When Unoxol™ 3,4 -dialdehyde is introduced into the environment, it will reside in aqueous phase due to its high solubility and low sorption potential to soils and sediments. Unoxol™ 3,4 -dialdehyde is readily biodegradable and is expected to be rapidly biodegradable in various environmental media such wastewater treatment plant, soil, and water. Unoxol™ 3,4 –dialdehyde is not expected to bioaccumulate in the aquatic food chain due to its low octanol-water partition coefficient. Therefore, Unoxol™ 3,4 –dialdehyde does not fulfill the PBT (Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic) criteria.
