The preliminary study and measurements were performed under atmospheric pressure of 101.4 kPa. The preliminary study was carried out in order to determine the boiling temperatuer range for the test item (523.2 - 563.2 K). The average value of an initial boiling point was found at approximately 540.1 K when heated at 10.0 K per minute starting at 373.2 K and then at about 10.0 K below the expected boiling temperature, the heat was reduced to 3.0 K/min. At temperatures showed in table below the string of bubbles stops and fluid suddenly rises in the boiling tube.

The measuring accuracy was addicted to BÜCHI Melting Point 545 apparatus accuracy (measuring accuracy up to 373.2 K +/- 0.3 K; up to 523.2 K +/- 0.5 K and up to 673.2 K +/- 0.8 K) and equal to 0.8 K.

Additional information

The data refer to measurements of substances of various single degrees of ethoxylation (EO = 2 and EO = 1). For a general ethoxylation degree of < 2.5 EO, a weight of evidence approach is applied.

There is a correlation between the degree of ethoxylation and the boiling temperature. With increasing degree of ethoxylation the boiling temperature decreases.
