Description of key information

Based on the analogue Pentaerythritol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylic acid data with biodegradation of 27% after 28 days, the test item was considered to be inherently biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria

Additional information

The screening test assessing the readily biodegradation in water of an analogue (Pentaerythritol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylic acid; CAS N. 51728-26-8) to the test item according to OECD testing guideline 301F was used as worst case to fill by read-across the endpoint "Biodegradation in water: screening test" of the test item. The biodegradation value after 28 days of exposure to non-adapted domestic activated sludge was 27%.

See the read-across justification for further informations.
