Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the substance was 0.4 kPa, which corresponds to the highest value found following testing of four samples.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.4 kPa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of the substance was determined following the methods outlined in ASTM D-1120 -72. The boiling point was measured at varying pressures. The results were plotted on a graph and the vapour pressure at 25 deg C was extrapolated. A result of 0.4kPa was obtained.

This is the highest vapour pressure out of the measured vapour pressures for samples of the renewable diesel gas oil fraction. It will be used as a worst case scenario. The other vapour pressures range from 0.106 -29 Pa and were derived using the same method.
