Description of key information

Determination of m-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)aniline the hydrolysis at different pH values.

The rate of hydrolysis of m-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)aniline at pH values normally found in the environment (pH 4-9) was determined in a Tier 2 study according to EC C.7, OECD 111 and EPA OPPTS 835.2120 guidelines and in accordance with the principles of GLP. Hydrolysis rates of the substance at 20, 50 and 60°C (pH 4, 7 and 9) were determined from which the hydrolysis rate at 25°C was calculated. The test substance was shown to degrade by a pseudo-first order behaviour. Half-life times at 25°C and pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 were determined to be 4.0, 5.0 and 5.1 days, respectively.
