Additional information

A small number of published values are available for the flashpoint of 2 -(2 -butoxyethoxy)ethanol. The close cup measurements are all very tightly clustered around the value chosen as the key parameter with one exception which is treated as unreliable for this reason. All these values are either stated closed cup measurements or to a DIN standard that is closed cup. No single value is from a reliable source but this weight of evidence allows confidence in the decided key parameter and is good enough for classification and labelling purposes and risk characterisation. The highest value is selected as the key study as this value is probably the most reliable in terms of knowledge of test method and laboratory that generated the data. Selecting the lowest value from the supporting studies would in any case lead to the same conclusions for this end point (of no significant flammability hazard.)
