Justification for classification or non-classification
There are no animal or human data available with regard to the skin sensitising potential of ethyl vinyl ether. In accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI a sensitisation study does not need to be conducted because of the very high volatility and immediate vaporization of ethyl vinyl ether (boiling point 36°C at 1013 hPa).
Therefore, classification for sensitisation is not warranted according to the criteria of EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
