Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006) Annex VII, Column 2 the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. Base on the structure of the substance, the test has not been conducted.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008 an explosive substance or mixture is a solid or liquid substance or mixture of substances which is in itself capable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings. Pyrotechnic substances are included even when they do not evolve gases. Since there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule the specific tests have not been conducted and the substance is considered non explosive.
