The substance has oxidising properties.

Additional information

The study was technically not feasible to be conducted because of hygroscopic properties of the test substance.

According to BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, UN No. 1514, BAM-No. 1129 Zinc nitrate is classified as an oxidising solid Cat.2.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.4, Section 2.13 and Section 2.14 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as oxidising gas and as oxidising liquid in class 5 Division 5.1.

According to BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, UN No. 1514, BAM-No. 1129 the substance is classified as an oxidising solid category 2 (H 272).
