Description of key information

Taking into account the data on inhalative toxicity of mammals resulting in long-term DNELs of 91.5 mg/m3 likelihood of birds getting exposed to concentrations in this magnitude other than in a major accident situation is not expected. Toxicity of isopropyl chloride through oral route also is very low (LD50 oral, rat > 2000 mg/kg) and does not justify further testing on birds. A testing of birds therefore should be avoided.
