Endpoint:
stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical

Description of key information

Based on data of storage stability of the technical material Bardap 26 (70 % active substance in 18% polyethylene glycol, 10% polyethylene glycol and water) a shelf life of 2 years is guaranteed (see Lonza Report No. 4027).

It can be concluded that N,N-Didecyl-N-methyl-poly(oxyethyl)ammonium Propionate is stable in its process solvents polyethylene glycol and ethylene glycol for at least 2 years. Thus, it is considered that stability in the pure process solvents polyethylene glycol and ethylene glycol is not required.
