Additional information

Since no data on toxicity of ethylene oxide on aquatic algae are available a conclusion by analogy approach to propylene oxide (CAS 75-56-9) has been applied. The EC50 (96h) of propylene oxide was 240 mg/L measured on growth rate of the green alga Selenastrum capricornutum (Shell Research Ltd. 1986).
