Conclusions:
The estimation method was used for the determination of the Pow of Sodium toluenesulphonate. The Pow and log Pow value of the test substance at 20 °C was:
Pow = 6.60 x 10E-4, log Pow = -3.18
Executive summary:

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of Sodium toluenesulphonate was determined according to OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals No. 107: "Partition Coefficient (n-octanol/water), Shake Flask Method", July 27, 1995 and European Community, EC No. 440/2008, Part A: Methods for the Determination of Physico-chemical Properties, Guideline A.8: "Partition Coefficient", Official Journal of the European Union No. L142, May 31, 2008.

The estimation method was used for the determination of the Pow of Sodium toluenesulphonate. The Pow and log Pow value of the test substance at 20 °C was: Pow = 6.60 x 10E-4, log Pow = -3.18.

Description of key information

The Pow and log Pow value of Sodium toluenesulphonate at 20 °C was: Pow = 6.60 x 10E-4, log Pow = -3.18. The estimation method (quotient of n-octanol and water solubility) was used for the determination of the Pow .
