Materials and methods

Type of study / information:
Derivation of a QSAR
Principles of method if other than guideline:
This paper describes the development of two QSARs (= Quantitative Activity Structural Relationships), one for the estimation of the skin permeation coefficient through intact skin from aqueous solution and the second for the estimation of the stratum corneum/water partition coefficient. Measured data on human skin absorption from aqueous solution in vitro and on human stratum corneum/water partition coefficients in vitro were used for establishing the QSARs.
