Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate is available for alcohols, C9 -C11 (odd numbered), branched and linear. However data is available for C9 and C11 constituents.

The 21 day chronic NOEC of Daphnia magna has been calculated (QSAR) to lie in the range of 0.4-0.7 mg/L based on survival and reproduction for nonanol (CAS 143 -08 -8). This range is provided from reproduction effects to Daphnia magna.

The 21 day chronic NOEC of Daphnia magna has been calculated (QSAR) to lie in the range of 0.044 - 0.17 mg/L based on survival and reproduction (Schafers et al. 2009) for undecanol (CAS 112 -42 -5). This range is provided from reproduction effects to Daphnia magna. The reproduction effects were chosen as this is the most sensitive endpoint where the most conservative results are used.

The data are read-across to alcohols, C9 -C11 (odd numbered), branched and linear.
