Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air, call a physician if respiratory
irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes and seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, dilute stomach contents by drinking
plenty of water or milk. Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some soot. Suitable extinguishing agents are
water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate the area. Contain spill and, if necessary, absorb
using suitable material. Dilute acetic acid may be applied
to reduce the corrosive nature of the substance. Collect
and place in a waste disposal container. Dispose of by
incineration. Wash area thoroughly with water.
Handling and storage
Handling: A chemically resistant apron and protective gloves (rubber,
neoprene, vinyl) should be worn and chemical safety goggles
or full face shield. Local exhaust ventilation is
recommended, as is wearing of an approved respirator for
protection against organic dusts, mists and vapour (eg.
half-mask type conforming to BS 6016).
Storage: Store in tightly closed drums resistant to caustic
substances.
