Description of key information
No long-term aquatic invertebrate toxicity studies are available for epichlorohydrin.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
The relevance of chronic aquatic toxicity studies with epichlorohydrin is limited since epichlorohydrin is manufactured and used under controlled conditions and is not expected to be released into the aquatic environment. However, if released to the environment, epichlorohydrin is expected to degrade rapidly. Additionally, a quantitative risk assessment revealed that the PEC/PNECaqua for epichlorphydrin was < 1 (See Chapter 10 of the CSR).
