Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is not auto flammable, it shows no relative self-ignition below 400 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance showed no relative self-ignition below 400 °C due to a study result acc. to EU A.16 testing method.

Even solid inorganic oxides in which the inorganic element is in its highest possible oxidation state are incapable of further reaction with oxygen and can thus be designated as non-flammable (ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7 a: Endpoint specific guidance, R.7.1.10.3). This is the case for most of the constituents.

The other inorganc constituents (non-oxides): KCl, NaCl are not flammable (according to data from handbooks).
