Table 1 Full test results

Run Number 2
Mass of sample used (g)  0.0233  0.0217
Initial Melting Temperature (°C)  N/A  N/A
Final Melting Temperature (°C ) N/A  N/A

Result : > 300°C

Comments: The sample did not change during testing; remained a grey solid throughout.

Conclusions:
The melting point of the Ash was found to be > 300°C.
Executive summary:

The determination was carried out in a GLP laboratory using the capillary method at athmospheric pressure according to the Method A1 Melting/Freezing Temperature in Comission Regulation (EC) 440/2008. A capillary tube, which was filled in with the pulverized test material, was heated in a stirred liquid. During the study, test material did not change its state. Thus, the melting temperature exceeds 300°C.

Description of key information

The melting point was determined in a GLP laboratory using the capillary method according to the Method A1 Melting/Freezing Temperature in Comission Regulation (EC) 440/2008. During the study, test material did not change its state. Thus, the melting temperature exceeds 300°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The state of Ash remained unchanged until the test temperature maximum (300°C).
