Description of key information

Acrylamide induces peripheal neuropathy charcterized by a dying back of neurons. The NOAEL for this effect is 0.5 mg/kg/day as determined by light and electron microscopy.  No clincal effects were obseved at 2.0 mg/kg/day, the next highest dose.
