Long-term toxicity to fish

Description of key information
No measured data are available for long-term toxicity of CTO to fish. CTO is a UVCB substance and a data-waiver is considered to be appropriate for this endpoint on the grounds that, in accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study does not need to be conducted because the needs associated with a sound understanding of long-term toxicity to fish are adequately met by the available data on constituents. Composition information has been used in conjunction with validated QSARs to derive No Observed Effect Concentrations (NOECs) for CTO constituent blocks. Calculation of PNECs for the aquatic compartment will be based on the block NOECs rather than on data for the whole substance. Testing for long-term toxicity to fish will therefore not contribute to the database that is required to complete the assessment of the substance.
