Additional information

The bioaccumulation of TOPP as a whole substance is not scientifically necessary or meaningful for the purpose of environmental exposure assessment. It is necessary to consider the bioaccumulation properties of the individual constituents of TOPP.

The constituents of TOPP are all naturally occurring secondary metabolites of pine trees and many other types of plant. Metabolism and other biological behaviour of these constituents have been extensively reported in published literature. The values calculated from log Kow therefore represent worst-case upper limits. The significance of this uncertainty will be evaluated in the exposure assessment.
