The HC5 was determined to be 35.3 mg/kg soil. The 95% confidence interval was 18.6 -50.0 mg/kg. The PNEC for soil is therefore 35 mg/kg. The data used to calculate the PNEC is given below.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The PNEC for soil is 35 mg/kg.
- Executive summary:
This is a review article of several studies regarding the ecotoxicity of LAS to soil organisms and plants in order to determine an overall PNEC for soil. 9 invertebrate and 12 plant studies were used to calculate the PNEC. The data for both sets of studies were merged as the sensitivity of both types of species were similar. The PNEC for soil was determined to be 35 mg/kg soil.
