Description of key information

The vapour pressure of 1,2-dichloroethane was determined to be 76.86 Torr at 298.1 K corresponding to 10247 Pa or 76.85 mm Hg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
10 247 Pa
at the temperature of:
298.1 K

Additional information

In the key study (Nath, 1994), the vapour pressure of 1,2-dichloroethane was determined by the static equilibration method. The vapour pressure was found to be 76.86 Torr = 10247 Pa at 25°C. Other handbook data from different sources support this value (range : from 33.3 hPa at 0°C to 1013 hPa at 83.5°C)
