Description of key information

Accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data on bioaccumulation for the substance itself are available. However, considering the extreme low water solubility and the structure-related inert properties of the rutile, bioavailability and therefore bioconcentration are not expected. However, very small amounts of the buiding blocks Chromium and Antimony could be released. Data of both metals indicate that they are considered as not bioaccumulative.
