Additional information

Available information on the short-term toxicity clearly indicates that cyclohexanone is acutely not harmful to fish. The most reliable study was performed under flow through conditions using a method comparable to OECD 203. In this study a LC50 (96h) of 527 mg/L for Pimephales promelas was determined (based on measured concentrations; Brooke et al. 1984). This result is supported by the study, conducted under static test conditions, by Juhnke and Luedemann (1978) in which LC50(48h) values of 536 and 752 mg/l for Leuciscus idus were determined.
