Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on an experimentally derived partition coefficient octanol-water of 7.76 L/kg (log Pow: 0.89) adsorption of cyclohexanone to solid surfaces is not expected. An Adsorption-Desorption study was therefore not conducted.

However, a partition coefficient organic carbon-water of 39.48 L/kg was estimated for cyclohexanone using the QSAR Model KOCWIN v.2.00 (Applicability domain: molecular weight - in domain, logKOW - out of domain, correction factors - in domain). This value indicates that the adsorption to soil, sediment, suspended matter and sludge is not a relevant process in the environmental fate of cyclohexanone.
