Description of key information
The Koc was predicted with the program KOCWIN (EPISUITE). The Koc of 149 indicates a high mobility in soil and sediment according to the classification scheme of McCall et al. (1981).

According to EPISUITE's prediction, the two estimated Koc of L-Menthol are 88.15 L/kg (from MCI) and 149 L/kg (from Log Kow). A study is not required as L-menthol is readily biodegradable and also its logPOW of 3.15 does not warrant concern in combination with the ready biodegradability of the substance.
