Description of key information
Sediment toxicity data are not available for ethylbenzene. However, the physical and chemical properties of the substance indicate miminal direct or indirect exposure to the sediment compartment.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
Ethylbenzene is readily biodegradable and has a BCF of 110. The results from a fugacity model (McKay Level I) based on key physical and chemical properties concluded that direct or indirect exposure to the sediment compartment is unlikely.
