Additional information

The soil adsorption coefficient of sulfonic acids, C10-21-alkane, Ph esters was calculated yielding a logKoc range between 4.7 and 9.3 (Currenta, 2010). According to Swann et al. (1983), all components of sulfonic acids, C10-21-alkane, Ph esters are assumed to have a high potential to sorb on soil and sediment.

Sulfonic acids, C10 -21 -alkane, Ph esters is characterized by a calculated Henry's Law Constant between 0.040 and 0.061 Pa*m³/mole at a temperature of 20 °C (Currenta, 2010). According to Thomas, cited in the "Handbook of Chemical property Estimation Methods" (Lyman, 1980), the substance tends to partition in water and volatilisation rates are controlled by the slow diffusion through the air. Therefore, the substance has to be scored as being essentially nonvolatile from water.
