Within a prolonged ready biodegradation test lasting 47 d, 61 % of sulfonic acids, C14 -17 alkane, Ph esters were degraded (Bayer Industry Services, 2004). These results show that the test item is not readily biodegradable, but additionally provide evidence that sulfonic acids, C14 -17 alkane, Ph esters can be degegraded in sewege treatment plants.
