Toxicity to soil macro-organisms except arthropods

Chronic data are available for different species of non-arthropod soil invertebrates. NOEC/EC10values range from 2.6 mg Ni/kg for hatching by Enchytraeus crypticus (Santos et al, 2017) to 1140 mg Ni/kg for reproduction by E. fetida (Ghent University and Euras, 2005).  Below are the accepted high quality studies for non-arthropod soil macro-organisms used for derivation of the HC5and terrestrial PNEC:

Acute toxicity LC50values range from 52 mg Ni/kg dw for Lumbicis terrestris (mortality) to 2,500 mg Ni/kg dw for Caenorhabditis elegans (mortality).
