Conclusion on classification

Acute aquatic toxicity:

No classification

Tests with fish, daphnia, algae were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the substance. No adverse effects were observed in aquatic toxicity up to solubility limit of the substance. Thus, the substance has not to be classified for aquatic acute toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).

Chronic aquatic toxicity:

No classification

The test substance was shown to be not readily biodegradable. The logPow is >19. Considering ecotoxicological, toxicological data and molecular size the substance was estimated to be of very limited bioavailability and the BCF below 2000. Furthermore, the test substance was tested in aquatic toxicity test with algae (1992) and chronic aquatic toxicity test with Daphnia magna according to OECD guideline 211 (2013). In both tests the test substance had no observable effect on algae growth and reproduction on aquatic invertebrates, respectively, up to its saturation limit in test media and under test conditions. Thus, the substance has not to be classified for aquatic chronic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
