Additional information
The registrant intends to perform a new flash point study for 3-trimethoxysilylpropyl methacrylate (CAS 2530-85-0). The results will be added to the dossier and updated through a voluntary update when the study becomes available.
Several measured flash points are available from secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned. Those measurements known to have been conducted according to international or national standard closed-cup methods are in the range of 100 - 110°C. Variations in the flash point values may be caused by variations in purity of the test substance and in the test method used. These values are taken as weight of evidence in the interim, until the new study is available.
A flash point of 100 to 110°C and a measured boiling point of 253°C, indicate that the substance should not be classified as a flammable liquid according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
Information on Registered Substances comes from registration dossiers which have been assigned a registration number.
