Additional information

Three chronic studies are available in invertebrates. All showed consistent results. The 21 day studies using daphnia magna are considered the most reliable as these are full guideline studies with no significant shortcomings. The third study in ceriodaphnia was only for 7 days and, whilst the NOEC for reproduction was slightly lower than for the first study, there was no clear dose response relationship observed which means some uncertainty is associated with the result. The two daphnia magna studies with idential results are therefore used for the key parameter. There is no chronic data available in saltwater species.
