Additional information

The soil and sediment adsorption potential of 12-hydroxystearic acid is considered moderate. However, the substance presents low solubility in water and is rapidly degraded in water and soil. As such, it is not expected to persist and distribute in the aquatic or terrestrial environments. Further, because of its low vapour pressure, it will not volatilize to the atmosphere.
