Additional information

Magnesium carbonate is an inorganic white powder with a melting point of >450 °C. The water solubility was measured as 110 mg/L at 20 °C (Method A6 of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008). It is not readily combustible (UN Test Method N.1) and not auto flammable (UN Test Method N.4). Magnesium carbonate is predicted to be non-explosive and non-oxidising based on its chemical structure and experience of handling and use.
