Description of key information

Self-ignition temperature was measured for some of the Rosin ester substances. Self-ignition temperatures for substances in the category Rosin esters range from 298 to >400°C.

The self-ignition temperature of Resin acids and rosin acids esters with triethylene glycol is 398°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP compliant study, conducted according to EU A15 (auto-ignition temperature: liquids and gases) method was provided for Resin acids and rosin acids, esters with triethylene glycol (Chilworth Technology, 2010a).
