Description of key information

One long term study (non GLP) with Daphnia magna is available (Kuehn et al., 1989). The test was conducted in line with the provisional procedure proposed by the Federal Environmental Agency (Umweltbundesamt) (as of 1 January 1984). Daphnia magna Straus was exposed to concentrations of MCA and chemical analyses were performed. The21d- NOEC for MCA was determined te be 32 mg/L (parent mortality, reproduction and day of first brood) based on nominal concentrations.
