Description of key information

The water-soluble fraction (WSF) of Distillates (coal tar), heavy oils (anthracene oil >50 ppm BaP, AOH [CAS no. 90640-86-1]), measured as TOC, was found to range between 2.5 and 4.5 mg C/L at ambient temperature (at a loading of 100 mg oil/L). The mean water solublity is estimated to be 3.5 mg C/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
3.5 mg/L
at the temperature of:
22 °C

Additional information

Further findings: 7.5 and 5.5 mg C/L (at 500 mg oil/L), and 9.5 mg C/L (at 1000 mg oil/L).
