Additional information

For the assessment of the acute toxicity of TPGDA (CAS 42978-66-5) experimental data are available. A non-GLP study was conducted with the test item in accordance with DIN 38 412. In this static study Leuciscus idus was used as a test organism.  The substance was dissolved in acetone (1.0 g/100 mL) prior to testing. The 96-h LC50 was determined to be in the range between 4.6 mg/L and 10 mg/L. The 96-h LC50 of 4.6 mg/L was used as a worst-case key value for the farther derivation of the aquatic PNECs. No analytical monitoring was performed during the test procedure. However, the test concentrations are assumed to be stable over the exposure period based on a sufficient water solubility, a low Henry's Law constant (see IUCLID Ch. 5.4.2) and a low adsorption potential (log Kow = 2.7, measured, see IUCLID Ch.4.7; Log Koc = 3, worst-case, estimated, see IUCLID Ch. 5.4.1).

In conclusion, based on the available experimental data it can be concluded that TPGDA (CAS 42978 -66 -5) is with high probability acutely toxic for fish.
