Description of key information

Calcium fluoride is a simple inorganic compound and therefore will not be biodegraded.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Calcium fluoride is a simple inorganic compound and therefore will not be biodegraded. Once released into the environment, the substance will ionise to a limited extent to form calcium and fluoride ions which will combine with various minerals to form a variety of other fluoride compounds.
