Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

In a delayed contact hypersensitivity study in Guinea pigs (Buehler technique), 20 Hartley strain Guinea pigs were induced with 5% w/v test substance and then challenged with 1% w/v (Morris T.D., 1997). Irritation was noted in 3/20 animals following the 24 hour challenge phase. This irritation did not persist to 48 hours indicating an irritation response rather than a skin sensitization response. The test substance does not appear to be a sensitizer in the guinea pig.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
The test material is not a skin sensitizer.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:
Migrated from Short description of key information:
No data available for respiratory sensitization.
